Diskova turns your Last.fm listening into the feed — no captions, no posting. This page answers the common questions and tells you how to reach a human for anything it doesn’t.
One person builds Diskova. Mail gets a real reply — bug, question, or a track you think we should hear.
Diskova runs on Last.fm. On first open, tap Connect Last.fm and approve it on Last.fm’s own page. That’s the whole sign-up — there is no separate Diskova password to create.
You can make one on the same screen the connect step sends you to, then come back and approve. Last.fm is what scrobbles your listening; Diskova reads it.
If you made a Last.fm account mid-way, return to Diskova and press Connect again — it picks up where you left off. If it still looks stuck, force-quit and reopen; your progress is saved on our side, not just on the device.
Previews come from public music catalogues (Deezer and iTunes), and not every track has one there. When there’s no preview, the card says so and offers Open in your app to hear the full song where you already listen. It’s not a bug, and it isn’t about the artist — it’s whether a 30-second clip exists to find.
Hours you mark as quiet keep your listening private to you — it never shows to anyone else, but it still counts toward your own recap and your taste matches. Set them in Settings.
Keep a track and it lands in your library — and the person whose listening put you onto it gets the credit, on their recap and yours. Keeping is how discovery becomes status here: who put you on is first-class, not a footnote.
Three ways, on Vibes → find: their member code (the DSK-
code on their profile), their name, or your Last.fm friends — Diskova
will show which of them are already here, but only when you ask it to.
Once a week, a sealed statement of your week — your matches, your listening, and who kept from you. You open it once; then it’s filed under You → Envelopes, kept forever.
In Settings: turn off Findable by name to be reachable only by your member code, and opt out of appearing in other people’s Last.fm friends searches. You can also block anyone from their profile — a block is mutual and total; you each become invisible to the other.
On the Keeps screen, Export hands you a file (CSV or M3U) of every track you kept and who put you onto it — yours to take anywhere.
Settings → Leave the catalogue. It starts a 48-hour clock, after which your account and everything tied to it is permanently deleted — nothing is archived and nothing can be restored. Signing out is not the same thing; it just ends the session and keeps your account.
Only a handful, and never a feed of noise: a room you’re in waking up, someone keeping a track from you, a friend request, and the weekly envelope. You can turn them off at the system level with nothing else breaking.
What we collect and where it goes is written plainly in our Privacy Policy. Short version: your Last.fm listening, used only to run the app; no ads, no tracking, no data sold; delete it all any time from inside the app.
